In the article "America's Killing Contagion" the passage that stood out the most was the section "What Drives the Shooters". In the section it explains how most shooters are driven by revenge, disier for fame, and mental illnesses. I agree with the first and last point but I find the disier for fame point weird. It seems weird that a sane person would kill for fame. I also find intresting that males have a higher chance of being a shooter as well as white people make up 64% of the shooters. This makes sense for the most part because white non-Hispanic people make up 63% of the population. The last point the article states says that only 23% of shooters have been diagnosed mentally ill. I would think more shooters would be classified as mentally ill becuase in my eyes a shooter can't be sane

In "My Sister, the Soldier," the main idea of the article is the sister becoming a soldier and fighting in the war in the Middle East while her family is back home worrying for her.
